And trust me, if you try this at home once, you will stop buying store-bought granola altogether. This is not your regular granola; it is made from superfood millets like Ragi and Jowar puffs. The best part is that it only takes 15 minutes to make, and no, you don’t need an oven for this. You can carry this while traveling, have it for evening cravings, or whenever you just need something crunchy and sweet to munch on.”

Ingredients
- 2 cups ragi puffs
- 2 cups jowar puffs
- ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
- ½ cup chopped almonds
- 4 to 5 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp unrefined cacao powder
- 2 tbsp jaggery powder (strained)
- Few drops of vanilla extract
- 2 to 3 tbsp grated coconut
- 2 to 3 tbsp golden raisins
Method
- Preheat a pan or oven and roast the ragi puffs and jowar puffs for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become light, crisp, and slightly golden. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
- In the same pan, roast the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chopped almonds, and walnuts over medium heat until lightly golden and fragrant. Be careful not to burn them. Add the roasted nuts and seeds to the bowl with the puffs.
- In a small bowl or cup, combine the coconut oil, cacao powder, strained jaggery powder, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the roasted puffs, nuts, and seeds. Toss everything together gently, ensuring each ingredient is evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.
- Add the grated coconut and raisins to the bowl. Mix well so that the coconut and raisins are distributed evenly throughout the granola.
- Return the mixture to the pan or baking tray and roast for another five to seven minutes. This second roasting helps the flavours meld together and gives the granola a deliciously crunchy texture and rich aroma.
- Remove from the heat and allow the granola to cool completely. It will continue to crisp up as it cools.
- Once fully cooled, transfer the granola to an airtight container and store at room temperature. Enjoy it as a snack, or serve it with milk, yoghurt, or fresh fruit.
