Dine At Walt Disney’s Favorite Table At Tam O’Shanter In Los Angeles

In the 1920s and 1930s, the Disney Studio sat just a short drive from Tam O’Shanter and quickly became a second home for Walt Disney and his team, earning the nickname “The Disney Studio Commissary.”
Located in the heart of the main dining room, Table 31 is more than just a seat at a table, it’s a time capsule. Marked by a plaque that reads, “This was a favorite spot of Walt Disney and his Imagineers,” the table still bears etchings carved by Disney’s Imagineers. Just steps away hangs a rare caricature of Tam O’Shanter founder Lawrence Frank, drawn by legendary Disney animator John Hench and signed by Walt himself in 1958.
Now, nearly a century later, guests can experience that same camaraderie, nostalgia, and storytelling spirit at the very table where it all began at Table 31. It’s one of the most coveted tables in Los Angeles. This was where Walt Disney discussed creative ideas with his Imaginners about his films, and his dream of building Disneyland.
The interior of the restaurant was redone to look as if one has stepped into the Snow White movie. Tam O’Shanter, Los Angeles’ oldest restaurant operated by the same family in the same location. It’s been an industry favorite during Happy Hour guaranteeing good cheer, warm hospitality, and a cozy old-world atmosphere.
Weekday Happy Hour is from 2–5 p.m., with $10 classic cocktails, $7 select wines, $6 house drafts, $7 rotating drafts and $4 for 16-ounce Pabst Blue Ribbon pours. King Trivia Tuesdays begin at 6:30 p.m. in the bar.

The menu for the Table 31 Experience includes a starter of deviled eggs, pickled vegetables or bacon-wrapped dates. Then each guest can choose a classic wedge salad or Tam’s famous 1927-recipe chili. For entree choices, the 31 Burger (Walt Disney’s go-to favorite) is charbroiled and served open-faced on toasted sourdough with bacon, Scotch rarebit, chopped onions and chili fries.
Meat lovers will appreciate the California cut prime rib with mashed potatoes, creamed spinach with bacon and Yorkshire pudding. Diners can upgrade to a Tam O’Shanter cut (+$10) or Prince Charlie cut (+$15).
Healthier choices include pan-roasted Scottish salmon with barley and kale salad, topped with pickled fennel or a seasonal vegetarian dish.
Guests may also choose to enhance the experience with Walt’s signature cocktail, the Scotch Mist made with Glenmorangie, soda, crushed ice and a lemon twist, for an additional $16.

Finish with a sweet ending dessert of either the restaurant’s iconic C.C. Brown’s hot fudge sundae or an English trifle.
Walt’s Table menu is priced at $69 for lunch or $89 for dinner. The Table 31 experience is available for parties of up to four and includes a curated, exclusive menu featuring Walt’s favorite dishes. Some of these menu items are not available on the regular menu.
